Gabriel Poole leans strongly toward innovation in his architecture and implementation of better building systems. However, buildings are tailored to the individual requirements of clients and particular care is taken to preserve sites and to design to the requirements of climate. For most of his career this has resulted in light weight architecture. Recently there has been a shift towards heavier buildings concentrating on sculptural forms.
Nevertheless, all the practical aspects which formulated his light weight buildings have been retained to match climatic conditions.
